Olga Sumska (born August 22, 1966, Lviv, Ukraine) is a Soviet and Ukrainian actress and TV presenter. Honored Artist of Ukraine (1997), People's Artist of Ukraine (2009). Laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine (1996). She was also awarded the Order of Princess Olga III degree (2021).
She was born on August 22, 1966 in Lvov in a family of actors of the Academic Drama Theater. I. Franko. She is the second child, the older sister is Natalya Sumskaya, (born April 22, 1956), actress and TV presenter, leading actress of the Ivan Franko Theater. Father - Vyacheslav Ignatievich Sumskoy (1934-2007) - People's Artist of Ukraine, mother - Anna Ivanovna Opanasenko-Sumskaya (1933-2022) - Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1987 she graduated from KGITI named after I.K. Karpenko-Kary. And the following year she became an actress of the National Academic Theater of Russian Drama named after Lesya Ukrainka. On the stage of this theater, she played in performances: "The Suicide", "Mad Money", "The Lady without Camellias", "The Government Inspector", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "The Incredible Ball" and others.
The role of Roksolana in the TV series "Roksolana" and two sequels - "Ascension to the Throne" and "Flower of the Empire" brought great popularity to Olga Sumy.
In 2017, she became a member of the League of Laughter jury.
The first husband of Olga Sumskaya was the actor Yevgeny Paperny (born September 3, 1950). They got married in 1987, but four years later their marriage broke up. From the marriage with Paperny, a daughter, actress Antonina Papernaya (born June 1, 1990), was born. The son-in-law is actor Vladimir Yaglych. In 2017, the granddaughter Eva Yaglych was born. In April 2020, the actress's grandson Daniil Yaglych was born.
With her current husband, actor Vitaly Borisyuk (born July 18, 1963), the actress is raising her daughter Anna Borisyuk (born March 2, 2002).
