Abstract

We will improve the capabilities of laser-based diagnostics used for non-contact gas analysis of concentration and temperature in combustion systems and hypersonic test facilities. The effort will include upgrading hardware, developing and implementing spectroscopic analysis codes, and developing complete calibration techniques that will improve system performance and utility. The technology will be inserted into Air Force and NASA ground test facilities for use in diagnostics that enable timely and accurate measurements of the flow conditions, engine products, and/or test article response.
