OEwaves Inc. in collaboration with the UCLA Mesoscopic Optics and Quantum Electronics Laboratory team is proposing to develop and demonstrate an advanced inertial instrument technology that merges optic, electrical, and mechanical operation principles into a single high-end MEMS IMU. This technology is based on an optically driven MEMS structure that has low drift as well as high signal to noise ratio limited by the fundamental quantum noise of the device. Usage of the optical pumping that creates noiseless rigidity of the system is essential for achieving highest performance with the device, which is superior compared with other MEMS accelerometers.Approved for Public Release | 17-MDA-9395(24 Oct 17)
