The city in the Kherson region of Ukraine. Administrative center of the Kakhovka district. Administratively to the city of Novaya Kakhovka through the former Novokakhovsky City Council were subordinated: the town of Tavriisk; the township of Dnepryany; settlements of Raiskoye, Topolyovka, Plodovoye; villages of Korsunka, Novye Lageri, Peschanoye, Maslovka, Obryvka.
Geography
The city is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River, below the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which forms the Kakhovka reservoir.
The physical distance to Kherson is 58 km, by rail — 117 km, by road — 78 km. To Kyiv physical - 462 km, by road - 584 km.
New Kakhovka is an oasis city. In the place where the sands roared and the dry winds of the steppe raged, a park was laid, gardens turned green. During the construction of the city, it was possible to successfully solve the architectural and artistic tasks of designing quarters, squares and streets, which harmoniously combined with the nature of the Dnieper coast.
