Neosec

Neosec is an application security platform that utilizes AI-based behavioral analytics. The company was co-founded in 2020 by Giora Engel and Ziv Sivan, who serve as CEO and CTO respectively, with founding investor and Alteryx CEO Mark Anderson serving as Chairman of the Board. Neosec offers a cloud-based security platform that uses big data, artificial intelligence, and behavioral analytics in order to detect hidden application programming interface (API) abuse. The platform protects against several types of API threats, including vulnerable and misconfigured APIs, and draws upon extended detection and response (XDR) techniques. Additionally, Neosec offers discovery and risk audit of APIs, behavioral analytics and context, investigation, and prevention capabilities.

Neosec can be integrated to provide security to a business's existing data source. Supported software includes API gateways Apigee, Kong and Mulesoft; cloud providers Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud; container and mesh environments Kubernetes and Envoy; reverse proxies Apache, NGINX, Microsoft IIS and HAProxy; content delivery networks (CDNs) Akamai, Cloudflare and Fastly; and web application firewalls/web application and API protection platforms Imperva and F5.

As of 2021, Neosec has participated in two funding rounds and raised a total of $20.7 million. Neosec's lastest round was a Series A on September 14, 2021, in which they raised $15 million from New Era Capital Partners, SixThirty, TLV Partners, True Ventures, Gary Fish, Mark Anderson, Mickey Boodaei, Rakesh Loonkar and Shailesh Rao.
