A SBIR Phase II contract was awarded to NU TREK INC in September, 2018 for $907,611.7 USD from the U.S. Department of Defense and United States Army.
Program objective is to develop and transition uncooled LWIR FPAs with performance that is approaching cooled LWIR FPAs. In Phase I Nu-Trek developed an integrated uncooled FPA model based on the NVESD document “model2017October”. This model was used to guide the ROIC design process, leading to a ROIC architecture that is fully supportive of NVESD’s objectives. The ROIC architecture is scalable to large formats yet can be realized in a low cost 180nm CMOS process. In Phase II the Nu-Trek Team will develop a very low SWaP-C ROIC and FPA that targets demanding Army applications such as the Enhanced Night Vision Goggles (ENVGs).
