Murat Belge (born March 16, 1943) is a Turkish writer, historian, and journalist. He was born in Ankara, Turkey, and holds Turkish citizenship. Belge is the son of Burhan Asaf Belge, a prominent Turkish politician.
Murat Belge was educated at Istanbul University , one of Turkey's most prestigious institutions. In addition to his work as a writer, historian, and journalist, Belge is the founder of İletişim Yayınları, a publishing house he established to contribute to the intellectual discourse in Turkey.
