Moscow City is a developing business district in Moscow on Presnenskaya embankment. It is part of the Presnensky District of the Central Administrative District of Moscow. As part of Moscow City, a business activity zone is being created that will unite business, residential apartments and leisure
This is the "city of the future" in the middle of the capital, located on Krasnopresnenskaya embankment, in the bend of the Moskva River, 4 km from the Kremlin.
The architecture of the buildings combines Art Nouveau, hi-tech and neo-constructivism. Muscovites come here for work, shopping and entertainment, and guests for exhibitions, sightseeing tours and shopping.
The idea of creating an international business center in Moscow appeared in the early 1990s. 20th century. The project was proposed to Mayor Y. Luzhkov by the architect B. I. Thor: he was inspired by the business districts of Wall Street in New York and Canary Wharf in London. They decided to build on the site of the former quarries, near the Expocentre and the World Trade Center. Work began in 1998 and continues to this day, a significant part of the facilities are already in operation: this is the Bagration bridge across the Moscow River, a shopping center and most of the towers.
Construction is currently underway. Start of construction in 1996 and plan to finish in 2024
