Mentis Sciences Inc. proposes to develop Technical Data Packages (TDP) and generate Source Approval Requests (SAR) for critically needed components for the Air Launched Cruise Missile engine platform, the F107. The engine is no longer supported by the OEM, and sources of supply are needed for many near-term components. Some components cannot be sourced, so replacement procedures cannot be utilized, hindering the support to the fleet. With an expected life cycle through at least 2033, the engine is in need of source development. Mentis will utilize source development and reverse engineering procedures established in previous efforts to provide the DLA and Air Force with a cost-efficient method of re-establishing sources for near-term, mission-critical components. Mentis has established components in need of procurement, with emphasis on near-term parts. Mentis will work closely with the F107 engineering team to prioritize the source development efforts to efficiently provide sources of procurement. Mentis will provide as many SARs as funding allows, with the intention of providing the DLA a cost-effective solutions for all critical components. By the end of the program, Mentis will be an approved supplier producing multiple critically needed parts for the F107 program.
