Maurice Wilkins

Maurice Wilkins was a New Zealand scientist who held various occupations, including a biologist , physician , and physicist . He was born on December 15, 1916, in Pongaroa , and passed away on October 5, 2004, in Blackheath, London . Wilkins was awarded the 1962 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine .

Over the course of his education, Maurice Wilkins attended the University of Cambridge , St John's College, Cambridge , the University of Birmingham , and King Edward's School, Birmingham . His doctoral advisor was physicist John Randall .
