Matter is a freemium product, with a paid plan for larger teams and companies in private beta. According to Matter's pricing page, "Matter is currently focused on building the best feedback experience it can to our community of professionals. Matter will remain free to all individual accounts currently using our Beta. Indefinitely."

Matter was funded by investors including PivotNorth Capital and Founder Collective .
