Li Fanrong

Li Fanrong was appointed Director and General Manager of Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd. in April 2021.

Prior to his current post, Li Fanrong served as Vice President of CNOOC, CEO & President of CNOOC Ltd., and Chairman of Nexen Energy ULC; Deputy Director General of the National Energy Administration; Board Director and Group President of CNPC as well as Vice Chairman of PetroChina.

In addition to his functions in Syngenta Group, Li Fanrong holds the following board memberships:

- Listed companies: Chairman of Sinochem International.

- Non-listed companies: Director and President of Sinochem Group Co., Ltd., Chairman of Sinochem Energy Co., Ltd.

Li Fanrong has extensive working experience in the petroleum and petrochemical industries. He graduated from the Jianghan Petroleum Institute (currently Yangtze University) majoring in oil production engineering, and later obtained his master’s degree in Business Administration from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. He is a professor-level senior engineer.
