Lennart Carleson

Lennart Carleson is a mathematician from Sweden. He was born on March 18, 1928, in Stockholm, and holds Swedish citizenship. Carleson studied at Uppsala University , where his doctoral advisor was Arne Beurling. Throughout his career, Carleson has guided several doctoral students, including Folke Eriksson, Svante Janson, Kurt Johansson, Warwick Tucker, and Bengt Rosén.

Lennart Carleson is the founder of the Mittag-Leffler Institute, located in Sweden. His remarkable work in the field of mathematics earned him the prestigious 2006 Abel Prize.
