LG is a company founded in 1947 by Koo In-Hwoi.

In 1958, LG Electronics was founded as GoldStar Holding (hangul: 금성).It was founded after the Korean War to provide the nation with home-made consumer electronics and home appliances. The beginning of the country's national broadcasting, which led to the rapid growth of the electronics market, and the close relationship it quickly established with Hitachi, helped GoldStar produce the first radios, televisions, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners in South Korea.
October 1, 1958 — Lak Hui Chemical founds Goldstar (later LG Electronics). From this moment on, the company begins to work on the design and production of electrical appliances and household appliances
LG Home Entertainment[11] (home entertainment equipment) is a division of the company that specializes in the production of LCD and plasma TVs, video and audio equipment, as well as monitors and laptops.
