SBIR/STTR Award attributes
The K&C team is proposing in this Phase II SBIR project to research and develop an Advanced Cumulative Damage Fast-Running Model (ACD-FRM) for RC Bunkers subjected to multi-weapon strikes. The ACD-FRM will be integrated for use with the Air Force’s Endgame Framework-based Modular Effectiveness Vulnerability Assessment (MEVA) software. Currently, MEVA can assess wall damage response for RC bunkers, but only for a narrow set of real RC bunker configurations, low RC compressive strengths, and only for a single weapon strike. In addition to the limited parameter space, MEVA provides simple output metrics which do not quantify a sufficiently broad range of structural responses anticipated for RC bunker walls, which can include both global (flexure) and local (i.e., spall/breach) responses.
