Czech philosopher, doctor, politician and science writer
Jan Jesenius (born December 27, 1566 in Wrocław and died June 21, 1621 in Old Town Square) was a person of varied occupations, including politician, philosopher, physician, writer, and diplomat. Jesenius received education at notable institutions like Leipzig University, Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, and the University of Padua.
One of Jesenius' influential connections during his academic career was Hieronymus Fabricius, his doctoral advisor. He also played an important role in the education of Daniel Sennert, one of his own doctoral students.
