Ugandan track and field athlete, middle- and long-distance runner, participant of the 2016 Summer Olympics, silver medalist of the World Cross-country Running Championships, two-time medalist of the Junior World Championships.

In 2019, Kiplimo became the silver medalist of the World Cross-country Running Championships, losing 4 seconds to his compatriot Joshua Cheptegei. He was one of the pacemakers of Kenyan runner Eliud Kipchoge in the INEOS 1:59 Challenge project.
In 2020, he became the world champion in running at the half marathon in Gdynia.
On November 21, 2021, in Lisbon, Kiplimo set a world record in the half marathon, running the distance in 57 minutes 31 seconds.
