Irina Sergeevna Pegova - Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2012). Twice winner of the Russian theater award "Golden Mask" (2005, 2008).
She was born on June 18, 1978 in the city of Vyksa, Gorky Region (now Nizhny Novgorod Region).
In 1995 she entered the acting department of the Gorky Theater School (creative director - Vasily Fedorovich Bogomazov). During her studies, she was noticed by the capital director Pyotr Fomenko. In 1997, after leaving the second year of study at the school, she went to Moscow and entered GITIS for the acting and directing course of Pyotr Naumovich Fomenko.
In 2001, immediately after graduating from GITIS, she was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow theater "Pyotr Fomenko Workshop". She played in the performances “White Nights”, “Wolves and Sheep”, “One Absolutely Happy Village”, “War and Peace. The beginning of the novel”, “Mad from Chaillot” and others.
In 2003, she played her first major film role in Alexei Uchitel's film The Walk.
Since 2004, she has been collaborating with the Moscow Studio Theater under the direction of Oleg Tabakov, where she has been involved in the performances of The Wife, The Tale of Happy Moscow, Crazy Day, or The Marriage of Figaro, Uncle Vanya.
Since 2006, she has been an actress of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov.
In 2012, she was invited to the Vladimir Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theater for the main role in the play "Talents and Admirers" based on the play of the same name by A. N. Ostrovsky directed by Mindaugas Karbauskis.
On April 25, 2015, together with Andrey Kozlovsky, she became the winner of the entertainment TV show "Dancing with the Stars" on the TV channel "Russia".
In 2020, she took part in the Ice Age show, where she performed in tandem with Alexei Tikhonov.
From May 23 to August 22, 2021 she is the host of the Dance Revolution dance show on Channel One.
In early January 2022, the romantic comedy Swingers with Dmitry Nagiyev is expected to be released in Russian distribution, in which Irina played one of the main roles.
