Innovations in modern web application development have created opportunities to deliver secure web application using several Docker microservices containers orchestrated by Kubernetes. These microservices enable rapid development of new features for each service independently and without the need to deploy an entire application stack with every minor change to underlying services. Additionally, developing in Docker containers and building from secure containers registries, such as, LevelUp Platform One DoD Container Asset Repository (DCAR) allows for security to be “baked in” and ATO artifact creation continuously as part of the build and deployment process. We believe leveraging these advancements to deliver a modern Pipeline Management Web application will enable the Air Force Reserves to rapidly innovate and accelerate training opportunities to airmen.
