Igor Tulchinsky is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of WorldQuant, a global quantitative asset management firm established in 2007. WorldQuant develops and deploys investment strategies across global markets through a variety of asset classes and has over 800 employees between 23 offices in 13 countries.
In 2015, he also founded WorldQuant University, a not-for-profit offering entirely free and online financial engineering and data science programs. WorldQuant University was granted accreditation in 2021 from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), a national accrediting body formally recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
In 2018, Igor established WorldQuant Predictive, a data science company that leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide predictive business solutions for commercial and humanitarian use.
Igor contributed a gift to Weill Cornell Medicine in 2017 that created the WorldQuant Initiative for Quantitative Prediction, which harnesses predictive tools to diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses. An additional gift in 2021 supports strategic needs at Weill Cornell Medicine, including advancing research, medical and computational capabilities.
In 2014, Igor launched WorldQuant Ventures, a private investment firm that centers on disruptive businesses in technology and focuses on data and finance.
Igor is also the author of Finding Alphas: A Quantitative Approach to Building Trading Strategies (2015) and The UnRules: Man, Machines and the Quest to Master Markets (2018).
