Abstract

The purpose of this project is to establish conditions and any associated technology for the application of additively manufactured Concentric Multi-Beam (CMB) Phase Transforming Cellular Matrix (PXCM) Tiles as a lightweight replacement or repair solution for runway mating, the repair of runways, and expeditionary airfields. This Phase II effort is designed to demonstrate that self-aligning CMB PXCM Tiles can restore original contour and attain full operational capability 30 min after compaction and/or preparation of final repair site.
