American company Mattel brand, which produces cars in 1:64 scale. Toys under this brand first appeared in 1968. Until 1997, the main competitor of Hot Wheels was the brand Matchbox, then its owner, Tyco Toys, was bought by Mattel for 755 million dollars[1] and turned into a division of the company.
