Henri La Fontaine was born on April 22, 1854 in Brussels, Belgium. He was a politician, lawyer, librarian, and bibliographer. La Fontaine was the founder of the International Federation for Information and Documentation. He passed away on May 14, 1943, in the City of Brussels. La Fontaine is most well-known for winning the 1913 Nobel Peace Prize.
