Hedley Cullen was born in 1915 in Semaphore, Adelaide.
He enlisted in December as a married man. At the time of his discharge in 1946 he was a Lance Sergeant in the 25/33 Garrison Battalion at Loveday. At that time Cullen worked as a photographer, taking many pictures of the Loveday Camp, but he is better known for his acting career after the war. He starred in Aweful Movies with Deadly Earnest (1967), A Thousand Skies (1985) and Deadly Earnest's Nightmare Theatre (1978). He died in 1994 in Dernancourt, Adelaide.
He was married to Nancy Nell Graham.
