Gerald Grosvenor, the 6th Duke of Westminster, was born in Omagh on December 22, 1951, and held citizenship in the United Kingdom. He was the son of Robert Grosvenor, the 5th Duke of Westminster, and Viola Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster.
Grosvenor was educated at Sunningdale School, Harrow School, and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He held several occupations, including officer in the armed forces, politician, and chairman, as well as being a part of the aristocracy class.
Gerald Grosvenor had two children: Lady Mary Grosvenor and Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster. He was the father of Hugh Grosvenor, the current 7th Duke of Westminster.
Gerald Grosvenor passed away in Preston, Lancashire, on August 9, 2016.
