Venturi Scrubbers - this is a device designed to clean outgoing gases from dust, dusty particles, smoke, aerosols and various impurities. Dusty particles are captured due to their wetting, and then deposited in a drop trap.

Venturi scrubbers consist of: inlet pipe, confuser fluid supply nozzle, diffuser, neck, drop catcher, outlet pipe, sludge outlet node.

The operation of this type of scrubbers is based on the Venturi pipe, as well as on the basis of the Bernuli equation, according to which the greater the difference in cross-sectional area at the inlet and outlet of the confuser, the higher the speed, the smaller the difference in cross-sectional area at the inlet and outlet of the confuser, the lower the speed. Polluted gas vapors enter the Venturi pipe. Further, this gas develops a high speed, as the cross-sectional area decreases, and the speed of gas flows increases. After that, water is supplied through special nozzles to wet the dusty particles. This water is crushed into many small droplets, the contact area of water with gas increases, dusty particles are wetted and stick together, and then removed from the droplet collector in the form of sludge by draining.The air purified from impurities and dust enters the atmospheric air and does not pose a threat to environmental pollution.
