GS ENGINEERING, INC. SBIR Phase II Award, September 2018

GS Engineering was awarded a Phase I SBIR to develop a single hose-end nozzle solution which is capable of switching between UHP and standard LP streams utilizing the input from the P-34 Rapid Intervention Vehicle.This allows a firefighter to choose the appropriate firefighting stream on the fly as the situation demands.GS Engineering succeeded in developing such a device and has proven the feasibility through CAD modeling, CFD analysis, and production of physical prototypes.GS Engineering is prepared to proceed to Phase II, where detailed design and development can take place along with supply chain development, production of a first article production prototype, and final product testing.These activities will lead directly to Phase III commercialization of the dual UHP/LP firefighting nozzle.
