Equal1.labs is a technology company making quantum processors that is headquartered in Fremont, California and was founded in 2017 by Dirk Leipold and George Maxim. Since its founding the company has been developing quantum computer technology in collaboration with the University College Dublin. Equal1.labs uses a combination of charge/spin qubit technology in combination with cryogenic cooling levels to allow for 4k operating temperatures for its quantum computers.

The Alpha 2 computer chip has 424 qubits running at a 150 spin flip time with 50 nanoseconds of coherence time while consuming 10mW of power. The Alpha 2 chip allows for 2D arrays of quantum gates to form universal quantum gate function.
