Atlantic Bridge is a Dublin, Ireland based venture capital firm. The firm was founded in 2004 by Brian Long. Atlantic Bridge is an umbrella company that manages six funds that invest in various sectors of deep technology. It has invested in the machine learning, robotics, computer visioning, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT), big data, enterprise software, SaaS, artificial intelligence, health tech, cybersecurity and cloud sectors.
The firm invests in growth capital European companies with the goal of bringing them into the United States and Chinese markets using its proprietary "Bridge" investing model. Through this model they utilize their investment and marketing network formed by the experience of their partners, finance professionals, founders, and entrepreneurs along with private and institutional investors to accelerate the scale up of European startups into the international market. Atlantic bridge oversees affiliate funds, University Bridge Funds focused on Irish research and innovation in addition to the China Ireland Growth Technology Funds.
In 2019, it was reported that the company had €900 million of assets under management. It was announced in August, 2019 that the firm had raised €150 million for its fourth fund, which included a €20 million investment from the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund .
Atlantic Bridge also has offices in London, Palo Alto, Munich, Paris and Beijing.
The Atlantic Bridge team is made up of managing partners Brian Long, Elaine Coughlan, and Kevin Dillon. General Partner Mark Hogan is the current CFO at the company and Peter McManamon is the current Atlantic Bridge Chairman. The investment team is headed by investment directors Conor Doyle, Melissa Yvonnou and Conor O'Sullivan.
