A new unknown virus turns Moscow into a city of the dead. There is no electricity, money has lost its value, those who are not yet infected are fighting desperately for food and gasoline. Sergey, his beloved and her autistic son live outside the city, where it is still safe. But he cannot leave his ex-wife and son in trouble, even though she hates him. Sergei goes to Moscow and miraculously takes out a woman and a child from the dying capital. On the way, the hero's father and rather impudent neighbors also join them. People who in another situation would never have found themselves under the same roof are forced to forget past grievances and go on a journey full of mortal dangers to Karelia, to a secluded hunting lodge located on a desert island in the middle of a lake.
