Edward Jones (born July 10, 1856) was an American mathematician, statistician, and journalist. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and held citizenship in the United States. Jones was educated at Worcester Academy.
Jones was primarily known for his occupations as a mathematician, statistician, and journalist. He played an essential role in the founding of Dow Jones & Company, a financial news enterprise that continues to operate to this day.
