A SBIR Phase II contract was awarded to edaptive computing, inc. in September, 2021 for $999,729.0 USD from the U.S. Department of Defense and United States Air Force.
Edaptive Computing, Inc. (ECI™) proposes Systems Traceability Relationship and Application Modeling with Engineering Requirements (STREAMER) as an integrated software solution to the problem faced by Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC): its need to reduce the effort and cost associated with generating contractual documents while improving their quality and consistency. Contract documents such the Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and others contain details of work to be performed and expected project outcomes. Requirements are derived from a number of sources and completely and accurately represented in Systems Modeling Language (SysML). Significant time and attention is given to effectively translating these requirements into contractual language in SOWs, but lack of defined traceability can prevent system requirements from being adequately reflected in final versions of contracts, adding significant acquisition cost. To solve this problem, STREAMER provides a system that assures total coverage of the requirements in the contractual language. STREAMER extends multiple SBIR technologies and combines the data from SysML models to streamline the document creation process with a guided setup, actual approved language from SMEs, identification of risks, and assurances that all requirements are covered via a mapping of contractual requirements to the SysML models.
