Yuri Alexandrovich Dud (born October 11, 1986, Potsdam) is a Russian journalist, video blogger, TV and radio host. Former editor-in-chief of the publication Sports.ru , since September 2018 — Deputy General Director. Since 2017, he has been the host of the author's YouTube channel called "Vdud", in which Yuri interviews famous personalities from various fields of activity. Yuriy Dud calls himself Ukrainian by origin and Russian by self-perception.
In 1990, the family moved to Moscow, where Dud entered secondary school No. 1246. He played football, dreaming of a career as a goalkeeper, but at the age of 10 he stopped classes due to fears caused by asthma attacks. Instead, at the age of 11, he began writing sports notes for the "Youth Newspaper". At the age of 13, from April 2000 to March 2001, he practiced in the newspaper "Segodnya" as an author of materials about sports events.
At the age of 14, starting in April 2001, he worked as a freelance correspondent for the Izvestia newspaper. In 2003, at the age of 16, he became a full-time employee of the newspaper, where he worked until August 2006.

From April 2011[12] to January 2012, Yuri Dud worked as a special correspondent and commentator in the sports editorial office of NTV-Plus[13]. "Kolyma"
In April 2019, Dud released the documentary "Kolyma is the birthplace of our fear", in which he drove along the Kolyma highway, built by victims of Stalin's repressions, and talked with local residents. He also interviewed Efim Shifrin and Sergey Korolev's daughter Natalia. According to Dudya, one of the reasons for the creation of the film was a recent VTSIOM study, which showed that almost half of Russians aged 18 to 24 had never heard of Stalin's repressions.
"Beslan. Remember"
On September 2, 2019, the documentary "Beslan. Remember" in memory of the tragedy that occurred at the Beslan school on September 1, 2004. The emphasis in the film was focused on the role of the state in the tragedy that happened. Yuri himself stated at the beginning of the film: "Once the state made mistakes that led to trouble. Now the state should surround everyone who has suffered with maximum care. And only through this care will it be able to earn forgiveness, and then - the trust of people".
The film is constructed as an interview with the direct participants of those events: hostages, journalists, activists, officials. So, in the film there is the opinion of the former president of Ingushetia Ruslan Aushev — the only negotiator who entered the captured school, and the former head of North Ossetia Taymuraz Mamsurov.
In just four days, ten million people watched the film.
Due to the emphasis on the role of the state in the tragedy, controversy broke out on social networks after the release of the film.
Novaya Gazeta in its publication spoke positively about the new work of Yuri Dudya, emphasizing that the film was made clearly, in detail, with an even intonation and without tantrums .
TV journalist Vladimir Solovyov attacked Dudya with insults, who did not like that the state was accused of everything in the film.
The publication Argumenty i Fakty accused Dudya of protecting the militants and calling for cooperation with the terrorists who took hostages. The author of the article published on the resource also expressed doubt that the journalist sincerely does not understand the work of anti-terrorist units, instead suggesting that he intended to make a propaganda political film. Journalist Dmitry Sokolov-Mitrich criticized the film on his Facebook page, saying that it biased the issue of the beginning of the storming of the school by special forces. Sokolov-Mitrich noted that he witnessed those events, as he was in Beslan from September 1-6, and also stated that Dudu had to choose other interlocutors for the interview. Journalist Vasily Utkin stood up for Dudya in the comments, clarifying that the film was shot for those who know little about the tragedy. Vasily also reproached the journalist for not making such a film himself.
In the film, the statement of the former head of North Ossetia, Taimuraz Mamsurov, was made that Vladimir Putin visited the cemetery in Beslan, where the victims of the terrorist attack are buried, which was not previously reported. Later, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed Mamsurov's words

The 1 hour 48 minute film was published on Dudya's YouTube channel on February 11, 2020 and immediately went to the top of the video service. Dud dedicated his film to more than 1 million people living with HIV in Russia. During the interview, the author admits that initially his team wanted to tell people about how not to be in this statistic. On April 23, 2020, a film about Silicon Valley entrepreneurs was published. The duration of the film is 3 hours and 7 minutes. Yuri Dud spoke with eight Russian entrepreneurs of the valley.
The film immediately got to the 2nd place in the "trends" tab of the Russian-language YouTube, in less than a week it was viewed more than 13 million times. At the same time, the work was seriously criticized by experts. The film was seen as sexism (due to the lack of female heroes), the authors were reproached for the uniformity of the characters (they are all from IT), that the valley is an ideal place for an entrepreneur, that the film motivates to leave Russia. In particular, Pavel Durov on his page on the social network named several reasons why the viewer may have a deceptive idea of life and work in California
"Why are they tortured in Russia"
On December 7, 2021, a 2-hour, 20-minute film about torture in Russia, "Why They Torture in Russia," was published. In the film, Yuri shows people who have been through torture, human rights defenders and human rights organizations that deal with this problem.
