My professional life started at the Shipping industry. I continued as a University professor in Information Technology and then founded MarineTraffic which led me towards entrepreneurship. With a strong technical and academic background, I have been involved in many research and business projects.
I am particularly interested in the provision of online services and I keep enriching my knowledge about this, in both technical and business perspectives. MarineTraffic has grown exponentially since 2007 and is today the leading tracking and intelligence platform in the Maritime world. I am currently serving the position of Chief Product Officer, designing new digital products and improving the existing ones. Hands-on involvement in Data systems as well as in front-end web and mobile technologies still excites me.
I hold a degree in Mathematics from the University of Athens, an M.Sc in Information Technology from Glasgow University and a Ph.D in Informatics from the University of the Aegean
