Funding Round Date
May 20, 2025

Paris-based edtech company Didask has secured €10 million in funding to expand its AI- and cognitive science-driven corporate learning platform across Europe. The funding round was led by AVP and Citizen Capital, with participation from MAIF Impact, JuneX, and returning investor Takara Capital. The capital will be used to accelerate Didask’s international growth, enhance its Learning Management System (LMS), and launch a new AI-powered tool designed to support informal workplace learning.

Founded in 2017 by Son Ly, Arnaud Riegert, and Philip Moore, Didask traces its roots back to the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in 2006. The founders were motivated by frustrations with traditional e-learning models and sought to apply cognitive science principles to digital learning to improve effectiveness. The company’s platform offers an AI-guided authoring tool that enables the creation of structured and personalized learning paths tailored to individual learners. It recommends content formats such as simulations, flashcards, and micro-challenges, based on evidence-based methods.

One of Didask’s key innovations is Didia, an intelligent teaching assistant launched in 2022. With the new funding, the company plans to develop Didia further and introduce a “Knowledge Assistant,” an AI-powered tool integrated directly into workplace software to facilitate informal, on-the-job learning. This assistant is intended to help employees upskill in real time as they perform daily tasks.

Son Ly, CEO and co-founder of Didask, highlighted the significance of the funding round as a key milestone. He expressed gratitude to investors for their support and underscored the company’s vision of making educational technology accessible and effective for employees worldwide. Ly emphasized the goal of transforming corporate training through robust, science-based technology that supports daily learning and international expansion.

François Robinet, Managing Partner at AVP, commented on the partnership by recognizing Didask as a pioneering company at the forefront of online learning evolution. He pointed to Didask’s combination of instructional AI and cognitive science as revolutionary for training and skill development. Robinet described the investment as a reflection of AVP’s commitment to backing AI-driven vertical applications.

Mehdi Belkahla, Investment Director at Citizen Capital, also remarked on Didask’s alignment with social impact objectives. He noted the founding team’s conviction that training is more than knowledge transmission—it is a catalyst for transformation. Belkahla highlighted Didask’s focus on equal opportunity and its use of distinctive educational technology, which aligns with Citizen Capital’s values intersecting impact, technology, and the future of work.

The corporate training market in Europe is undergoing rapid change, driven by increasing pressure on organizations to close skills gaps, retain talent, and ensure workforce adaptability in a technology-driven economy. AI is becoming a central component of this transformation. Alongside Didask, companies such as Sweden’s Sana Labs and Spain/UK’s Learnlight are leveraging data and automation to deliver personalized learning experiences at scale.

Didask’s funding and planned initiatives position the company to play an influential role in this evolving landscape by combining AI and cognitive science to address the challenges faced by modern corporate training programs across Europe.
