Delbert Mann (1920-2007) was an American film director and producer. He was born in Lawrence, Kansas and died in Los Angeles. Mann held United States citizenship and was sometimes referred to as Delbert Martin Mann, Jr. .
Mann was educated at several notable institutions, including the Yale School of Drama, Vanderbilt University, and Hume-Fogg High School. Throughout his career, he directed various films, such as "Against Her Will: An Incident in Baltimore" and "A Gathering of Eagles".
Delbert Mann received the prestigious Academy Award for Best Director.
