DeepStack is an artificial intelligence created at the University of Alberta to play games with imperfect information such as poker. DeepStack learns using deep learning techniques and from self-play in which it plays millions of hands against itself. In a series of games in 2017, DeepStack defeated 11 professional poker players in heads up no-limit Texas hold'em.
