Datawallet (DXT) is a decentralized marketplace for personal data that was founded by Serafin Lion Engel and Daniel Hawthorne in 2015. Datawallet provides users with a self-sovereign wallet that puts them in charge of their data, and allows them to monetize as well as utilize an asset that is rightfully theirs. It enables developers to leverage user data to use in applications and provides companies with insights to boost operations.
Datawallet raised seed funding from Tim Draper, iconic venture investors and Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce. In January 2018, Datawallet raised an additional $40M.
