Daniel Jacob Radcliffe; genus. July 23, 1989, London, England, UK) - British theater, film and television actor, producer.

Known as the performer of the role of Harry Potter in a long series of films of the same name, based on the works of writer Joan Rowling. In 2009, he was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the highest paid actor of the decade. Received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in California for his contribution to cinema.

Cinema

The young actor first appeared on the screen in 1999 in the BBC television movie David Copperfield. In the same year, a film test was held for the role of Harry James Potter in the film directed by Chris Columbus "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone." Filming began in 2000, and the release of the tape took place in 2001. The film was a huge success, world box office exceeded $970 million. Before that, Radcliffe appeared in a small role in the film "Tailor from Panama" (Pierce Brosnan and Jeffrey Rush in the lead roles).

This was followed by sequels - "Harry Potter and the Secret Room," "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," "Harry Potter and the Cup of Fire," "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Gifts: Part 1" and "Harry"

Daniel's fee for participating in the first Harry Potter film was £150 000, for Harry Potter and the Cup of Fire - £5.6 million, and for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix amounted to at least 8 million. Currently, Daniel's fortune is estimated at more than £23 million.

On February 3, 2012, a new film with the participation of Daniel - "Woman in Black," which raised a little less than $5 million in Russia, was released in world distribution, and March 15, 2012 in Russia.

In one of the episodes of the series "Extras" starred in the role of himself.

In 2017, Daniel played the role of Amazon survivor Yossi Ginsberg in the psychological thriller Jungle directed by Greg McLean.

Theater

In 2004, in addition to working in films, he played a role in the London version of the production of the musical comedy "The Play What I Wrote."

From February 2007 to February 2009 he played in another theatrical production - "Equus," based on the famous play by Peter Schaeffer, directed by Thea Sherrock: First in the West End (Gielgud Theater, February 27 - June 9), and then on Broadway Broadhurst Theater way.

According to the plot of the play, Alan Strang, a stable boy, blinds them and goes crazy on the basis of love for horses (the role of Dysert's psychiatrist was played by Richard Griffiths, Uncle Vernon in Harry Potter). After the first photos of the performance with the nude hero Radcliffe were released, many parents made a demand to stop Daniel from participating in this event, threatening otherwise to ban his children from watching his films.

In 2011, he played Jay Pirpont Finch, a window washer from New York, in the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Doing Anything.

From February 25 to May 6, 2017, he played Rosencrantz in Tom Stoppard's play "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" at the Old Vic Theater (as Guildenstern - Joshua Magwire). The production received four-star reviews from The Guardian, The Independent and The Telegraph, and Radcliffe's presence provided fully sold halls for the entire show period, which entailed an extension of the performance (the initial closing date was April 29). On April 20, 2017, the play was broadcast in cinemas in the UK and around the world as part of the National Live Theater project.
