Clextral

Clextral is a machinery company headquartered in Finery, France, and was founded in 1956 after the company acquired a license for manufacturing twin screw extruders for plastic and chemical industries. In 2007, Clextral became a division of Legris Industries Group. The company has customers in 93 countries and has 13 locations around the world, including 4 research and development centers in France, the United States, and Australia.

Clextral makes turnkey extrusion and processing solutions for companies in need of twin-screw extrusion, co-extrusion, porosification extrusion, green extrusion, coating, drying, food & feed processing, pulp extrusion, and automation of production lines. Their turnkey processing solutions consist of a combination of their manufacturing expertise, extruders, dryers, and ancillary equipment that is made in house at their production facilities.

Clextral acquired Afrem, a company specializing in equipment that produces and dries pasta and couscous, in 2002 for an undisclosed amount. Clextral claims their acquisition of Afrem allowed them to become a world leader in the making production lines for couscous by leveraging their own rotary drying technologies.
