The Cleveland Guardians is a baseball team based in the United States. Established in 1894, the organization was initially named the Cleveland Blues and has also been known as the Cleveland Naps and the Cleveland Indians before adopting its current name in 2021. The team is named after the Hope Memorial Bridge situated in Cleveland.
As an active company in the sports industry, the Cleveland Guardians compete with several other baseball teams, including the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Angels, and the Texas Rangers, among others. Parent organization ownership belongs to Larry Dolan.
