Chris Shumway founded Shumway Capital in 2001, a global investment firm that grew from $70 million to over $9 billion in assets. In 2011, Shumway Capital converted to a family office and re-oriented towards long-term investing.
In addition to public investments, Mr. Shumway has overseen private investments across all stages of the business lifecycle, from incubation to late-stage growth investing. Prior to founding Shumway Capital, Mr. Shumway worked at Tiger Management, where he became a Senior Managing Director and Management Committee Member at age 30.
