We propose to develop an innovative concept of the high speed dynamic IRSP that combines components and devices from proven suppliers with novel system-level research topics from CDS and University of Delaware. Having previously built and delivered working LED IRSPs to users gives CDS a unique advantage. In line with system theme of the solicitation, our phase 1 research topics are focused on system-level innovation. Our topics are: 1) reduce SWaP-C using novel component integration of IRSP components, 2) Replace digital video interface with a innovative high-performance interface, and 3) Improve RIIC operability. All three topics aim to make CDS IRSPs more usable, lower in cost and higher in performance as compared to present CDS IRSPs. For experimental testing and validation of our research ideas, we plan to use NSLEDS IRSP at UD SPEAR facility.
