Based on the results of Phase I, we aim to develop a prototype of the high speed dynamic IRSP instrument. This prototype will incorporate the next generation 1Kx1K IRLED array that is compatible with the highly successful and user-tested NSLEDS IRSP. If Phase II of the proposed project is successful, the result will be an upgrade of NSLEDS IRSP system to higher performance and operability. The reason for these improvements is IRLED arrays with improved operability, updated projector hardware, firmware and software. If additional funds become available, the updated RIIC design will be fabricated and achieve even higher performance (e.g. higher contrast and frame rate). We have already started discussions potential commercial customers of the proposed IRSP system and with transition partners who can help manufacture and support the proposed IRSP product in large volume.
