Chiang Kai-shek had two children: Chiang Ching-kuo and Chiang Wei-kuo. He was married to Soong Mei-ling. Throughout his life, Chiang received numerous awards, including the Order of National Glory, Order of Blue Sky and White Sun, Order of the Sacred Tripod, and Order of Brilliant Jade. He also received the Order of Propitious Clouds, Order of the Cloud and Banner, Order of Brilliant Star, and Honour Sabre of the Awakened Lion.

Chiang Kai-shek passed away on April 5, 1975, in Taipei. He was the father of Chiang Ching-kuo.
