Capital Technologies is a New York City based investment firm. Founded in 2019 by former Draper Fisher Jurvetson investors Blair Silverberg, Csaba Konkoly and Chris Olivares, Capital Technologies launched with an initial investment round of $5 million, raised from Future Ventures, Greycroft and Wavemaker.
Capital Technologies offers entrepreneurs and startups the possibility of debt financing, rather than equity fundraising. This way, companies can access from $5 to a maximum of $50 million for a flat fee of 5% to 15% on the capital. In the words of founder and CEO Blair Silverberg:
We are trying to create a business that is the place that all founders go to start their fundraising process. We just want entrepreneurs to understand that step one in building a balance sheet is to understand your cost of capital... We hope we can make this process simpler and more transparent.
Capital's goal, going forward, is to provide capital debt and become a holistic investment bank willing to advice companies on fundraising possibilities and connect them with venture capital firms for future deals.
Dubbed the Capital Machine, Capital Technologies underwriting machine, powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning, allows Capital to evaluate a company and provide financial analysis in as little as 24 hours. Capital suggests the process is as simple as three steps, starting with uploading financial data which is analyzed by the Capital Machine, which based on its analysis provides a financial report, named the Capital Report by Capital Technologies, and Capital then provides capital or suggestions for capital.

The Capital Report offers entrepreneurs and companies financial insights with existing financial and investor options; customized recommendations to help those companies optimize their capital structure and allocation; capital monitoring to show a company their financial performance; and investor recommendations based on the company's risk profile and objectives.
