The project objective is to develop a software framework for (remote) medical monitoring, diagnostics, and combat casualty care. The proposed framework supports medical wearable Bluetooth sensors, mobile apps, and a centralized medical health server that runs on the (military) cloud. The health server is updated in real time and each wounded warfighter can be monitored from treatment facilities anywhere in the world. The medic App provides medical monitoring, diagnostics and triage support. The Phase I feasibility study will identify specific government customers and their needs, and design/identify the most appropriate medical monitoring and diagnostics solution for them. In Phase II, we will develop and demonstrate a prototype software framework for (remote) medical monitoring, diagnostics, and combat casualty care for a specific government customer that has been identified during Phase I.
