During his college, Scott set 9 school records and 3 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference records. He was awarded as MVP of the Spring League Championship in 2020.

Scott was born on August 17, 1995, and grew up in Torrance, California. He was raised by his parents Robert and Leslie Scott. He is the grandson of Major General James. H Patterson. He attended Palos Verdes High School. He completed his college by majoring in Urban Environmental Policy from Occidental College, California, in 2017.
Scott started his career from high school and became the starting quarterback early in the 2012-13 season. He passed for a total of 1988 yards. In 2012, with Scott in the starting position, Palos Verdes won the Bay League title and the CIF Southern Section for the first time in 47 years. Scott was 144 of 188 for 1,928 yards and 25 touchdowns with four interceptions in that season.
In 2013, in his true-freshman season at Occidental, he was selected for SCIAC All-Conference Second Team and was named SCIAC Newcomer of the Year. In the last game of his freshman year, he passed for 473 yards and 6 touchdowns against La Verne and set single-game records in each category.
In 2014, he was selected to participate in the IFAF World Championship in Kuwait as a U-19 USA National Football Squad member. With the support of Scott, his team won the gold medal in the championship. He brought his team back from a 14-12 deficit at halftime, with four consecutive passing touchdowns, to capture the Gold Medal. He was awarded the IFAF Tournament MVP award.
After leading the SCIAC conference in every major passing category, he was selected for the SCIAC All-Conference First Team in the 2014-2015 season. Scott was honored as the SCIAC Athlete of the Year for Offense for surpassing 8,000 career passing yards and set the Occidental single-season passing record with 3,058 yards. He finished his SCIAC career and became an all-time passing yardage leader for both Occidental and SCIAC, with 9,073 yards passing, 66.4 completion percentage, 77 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions in 33 games played. His performance earned him the nickname of ‘Aaron Rodgers’ of Division 3.
During his tenure at Occidental, Scott set 9 school records and 3 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference records: Career Passing Yards (9,073), Completions (763), and Total Offense (9,475). He was named the 1st Team All-Conference QB, Occidental Team MVP, Occidental Team Captain in the 2016-2017 season. In the same season, he was named as SCIAC Player of the Year. Scott was deemed ‘Dominant’ by LA Daily News writer Mark Whicker. In his last collegiate season, 2016-17, he passed for over 3,000 yards in games played, with 27 touchdowns. In the same season, he became the All-Time Passing Yardage Leader for both Occidental and the SCIAC.
In March 2017, Scott attended the University of Southern California’s (USC) Pro Day workout as the quarterback and completed 62 of 64 passes with only one drop. On April 18, 2017, he signed with BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He attended a rookie minicamp with his hometown team, the Los Angeles Rams, following the 2017 NFL Draft.
In April 2018, he participated in The Spring League, where he was named Player of the Games for two games. He threw eight touchdowns to one interception for 838 yards and completed 68 passes out of 101. His performance led him to a workout with the Kansas City Chiefs. In May 2018, he attended rookie minicamps with the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons.
On October 14, 2019, Scott signed a futures contract with the Edmonton Eskimos for the 2020 season. On August 31, 2020, he opted out of his contract with the Eskimos after the cancellation of the 2020 season of CFL due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Then, on October 12, 2020, Scott was selected by The Spring League Generals during its player selection draft. He won the starting quarterback competition against Zach Mettenberger. Scott led the Generals to an undefeated season and the 2020 Championship, with a win over the Aviators 37-14. He went 22/32, 264 yards, three passing touchdowns, 25 yards rushing, and 1 rushing touchdown, and won his second TSL MVP. He became the only QB to throw for 1,000 yards and complete ten touchdowns in a TSL season.
Scott was awarded as the MVP of The Spring League Championship in 2020. He worked out for the Indianapolis Colts in February 2021.
