What is cultured meat
Cultured meat is composed of animal cells multiplied in special containers (bioreactors) and then collected and consumed in the form of hamburgers or other similar products. Unlike traditional meat:
- reduces the emission of greenhouse gases;
- avoids land consumption and deforestation;
- impacts less on water and other food resources;
- frees animals from cruel treatment;
- guarantees a food free of pathogens dangerous for humans;
- does not use antibiotics.

Our aim
Born in 2019 from the collaboration between academics of the University of Trento, the Trentino Innovation Hub and a private investor from the food industry, Bruno Cell is the first Italian start-up focused entirely on cultured meat. Our goal is to ensure that cultured meat becomes an economically sustainable resource, cutting the high costs of cell proliferation. To achieve this, we finance and manage research projects aimed at acquiring know-how and patenting optimized proliferation processes.
