Boguchar

The place occupied by the city, with a significant part of the land along the Bogucharka River , was previously known as the Bogucharsky Yurt, and the river valley remained practically uninhabited until 1716, when about two hundred Cherkasy were settled along the Tolucheev and Boguchar Rivers. Ostrogozhsky regiment and a year later (1717) several hundred more Cossacks of the same regiment, transferred from Liven, Zemlyansk, Chernavsk, Endovishch and other cities, were attached to them .

In 1765, with the introduction of a new civil system in the management of the suburban residents, the Bogucharskaya settlement became part of the Ostrogozhsk province of the Sloboda-Ukrainian province . With the establishment in 1779 of the Voronezh viceroy of 16 counties, including Bogucharsky , this settlement was renamed the county town.

Food industry enterprises, production of building materials.

Bogucharsky Plant of Vegetable Oils LLC was founded in 1999. The enterprise is engaged in sunflower processing. - At present the enterprise is in a stage of bankruptcy.

Tihiy Don LLC, a granite quarry, was founded in 2006. The production capacity of the Tihiy Don granite quarry allows mining and processing more than 350 thousand m³ of granite rocks per year and producing crushed stone of various fractions.
